Should you file an auto claim?

Consider filing your claim if:

  • Someone was injured.

  • You caused damage to someone's vehicle or property

  • You caused damage to public property.

  • Someone else is responsible for the accident.

  • The cost of repairs is more than your deductible.

  • Your car is leased, financed or owned by someone else.

How does an auto deductible work?

Your deductible is the out-of-pocket amount you'll pay for repairs on a covered claim.

For example, if the damage costs are $1,500 and your deductible is $500, then we would pay $1,000 for the repairs.

You can find your deductible on your auto policy.
