The Servicemember Civil Relief Act, or SCRA, and state military benefits may provide certain protections for members on active duty.

About SCRA and state military benefits

These benefits can help make sure your USAA Life Insurance policy or Medicare Supplement policy doesn't lapse or get canceled.

The benefit applies if you're unable to pay your premium while on active duty and for two years after you've separated.

To qualify, your policy needs to go into effect at least 180 days before you begin active duty and have up to a $500,000 death benefit.
