Car insurance FAQ

There are many factors involved in determining auto insurance rates. How many miles you drive a year, your driving record, and the coverage you choose play a part in how much you’ll pay.

A car insurance deductible is the amount you pay out of pocket for vehicle repairs before your insurance policy kicks in.

Learn how a collision deductible works. If you want protection for damage that isn’t caused by a collision, consider comprehensive coverage. It has its own comprehensive deductible.

Often, you can lower the amount you pay in your monthly or yearly premium by raising your deductible. It's important to note that if you raise your deductible, you should set aside enough money to cover that cost in your emergency fund.

Yes. USAA Auto Insurance covers electric vehicles.

You should add your teen as soon as they get their learner's permit.
