Increase your deductible.

To lower the amount you pay each month or year, you can try raising your deductible. If you do this, you’ll just want to make sure you have enough money set aside should you need to file a claim.

Modify your coverage.

For example, if you downsize, you can change your property coverage since you don’t have as much stuff to protect.
