Eagle Express FAQ

Everyone. While we’re focused on serving the military community, all life insurance, health insurance and retirement products offered by USAA Life Insurance Company, USAA Life Insurance Company of New York and USAA Life General Agency are available to the public.

It depends. If you apply on time, Veterans’ Group Life Insurance can be great for those who can’t qualify for other policies. However, VGLI premiums are based on age and costs can increase over time.

The USAA Eagle Express policy offers a fixed premium for the term you choose, from 10 to 30 years. Your financial needs may also be greater than the coverage amount offered through VGLI.

USAA Eagle Express offers fixed coverage for a specific amount of time. It’s great for meeting big needs that usually subside over time, including replacing lost income, paying off a mortgage and providing for education goals.

Term policies also generally offer more coverage at a lower cost than permanent policies.

Permanent policies offer coverage that lasts a lifetime, and they may build cash value. You can learn more about permanent policies.
