Is USAA membership free?

Yes, creating a member account with USAA is free. Once you're a member, you may enroll for USAA products and services. See Eligibility Guidelines(Opens Pop-Up Layer).
How do I open a USAA account?

First, you'll need to join USAA. Once we've determined your eligibility and you become a member, we'll recommend products and services for you.
Can I transfer my accounts from another financial institution?

Yes. Once you've become a member and opened a checking account, you can transfer funds electronically or manually by making a deposit.
Is my family eligible for membership?

If you've established membership, there's good chance your children and spouse are also eligible. See Eligibility Guidelines(Opens Pop-Up Layer).

Note 1 Obtaining insurance from USAA is optional, and has no effect on any credit applications or terms of credit with USAA Bank, and can be acquired from other sources.

Note 3 USAA Bank does not charge a fee for the first 10 ATM withdrawals. Subsequent withdrawals will be charged $2 each except when made at any USAA Bank-owned ATM. USAA Bank also refunds up to $15 in other banks' ATM usage fees for transactions at ATMs in the United States. The ATM fee refund does not apply for the month in which the account is closed. The ATM fee refund does not apply to USAA Cashback Rewards Checking. A 1% foreign transaction fee applies to withdrawals outside the United States.

Note 12 Military Severe Injury Benefit is available to active duty in the Armed Forces and Armed Forces Reserve of the United States of America. New Car (dealer) Payment Example: A 60-month new auto loan (model years 2018-2020) with an annual percentage rate (APR) of 6.40% would have monthly payments of $19.52 per one thousand dollars borrowed.
