Veterans Day

Beyond thank you for your service

To honor veterans, we can all go beyond ‘Thank you' to make an ongoing impact for the veteran community.

This year, we established Face the Fight™ — a coalition to prevent veteran suicide by uniting our resources and breaking the stigma.

Connect with veterans

Veterans Day is a moment to check in with the veterans in your life. It's a meaningful gesture, and it can mean even more if that person is struggling.

  • Reach out

Make the first move. Take a moment to make a call. Send a text. Grab a coffee. Letting someone know you care is taking action.

  • Ask engaging questions

Open up a two-way conversation. Beyond saying, “Thank you for your service,” ask open-ended questions about their life and their interests.

  • Actively listen

Be fully present by removing distractions and making eye contact. Giving someone your undivided attention is a sign of respect.

  • What more can I do?

Whether it's Face the Fight™ or another veteran initiative, we can all show up for veterans.

Break the stigma

Suicide has taken the lives of 120,000 veterans since 2001. It's a battle too often fought in silence. Through Face the Fight, we aim to break the stigma around seeking help and bring awareness to this epidemic.

Join the fight

Face the Fight is a coalition of organizations working to raise awareness and support for veteran suicide prevention. By pooling our resources, we can save lives. The aspiration is to cut the veteran suicide rate in half by 2030.

Always going beyond thanks

Every day, we are passionate about making an impact for veterans through volunteer work, advocacy and donations.
