Stability plays an important role in the financial security of our members — and empowering that security is our mission. Members impacted by a government shutdown can count on USAA and may be eligible to apply for a no-interest loan and other payment relief options across our banking and insurance products. No-Interest Loan

Loan Details
This is a no-interest loan equal to the amount of your net pay, from $500 to $6,000, designed to help with an affected payment disruption.

Who's Eligible to Apply
Members who are employees of an impacted federal agency and direct deposit their government paycheck (or pay), as well as other account holders on the impacted USAA Bank deposit account.

Loan Requirements
Have direct deposit set up for a USAA Bank checking or savings account as of the federal payment disruption date.
At least one qualifying direct depositSee note2 must have posted to that same USAA Bank checking or savings account within the 30 days prior to the beginning of the interruption.
Credit approval required.
Have a U.S. physical address or an APO, DPO, or FPO address.

Loan Repayment
The loan has an annual percentage rate of 0% and must be repaid within three months of funding. Your payments will be split into two equal installments, with the first payment due in about 60 days and the second due in about 90 days.

USAA Auto and Property Insurance
You may be eligible to set up a special payment arrangement for your USAA auto and property insurance premiums.See note3
USAA Bank
Special payment assistance programs will be available on existing USAA Bank accounts for eligible members including credit cards, deposit accounts, consumer loans and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC).See note3 Assistance programs will be available during the hardship period as determined by USAA Bank.
- Consumer Loans — Two-month payment extension (no interest accrues during this period)
- Credit Cards — No minimum payment due for three months (interest continues to accrue during this period)
- Deposit Accounts — Overdraft fees refunded/waived
- HELOC — Three-month payment extension (interest continues to accrue during this period)
Life and Health Insurance
We have special payment arrangements on life and health insurance policies. Options may vary by state and may be subject to state regulatory requirements.See note4
