Credit Card FAQ

If you're new to using a credit card, here's some general information:

  • You'll need to apply and be approved for a credit card. Be sure you review a credit card's rates and fees before you apply.
  • You'll have a credit limit for your card, which is the maximum amount you can charge in transactions, such as purchases and payments. If you go over your credit limit, you could be charged a fee.
  • When you use credit cards to make purchases or payments, you'll see the transactions listed on your monthly statement. If you don't pay your statement balance in full by the due date, interest will be charged on your remaining balance.
