Variable APR Rates
An interest rate that can increase or decrease based on an "index" such as the prime rate. For example, if a variable rate is based on the prime rate plus a margin of 9.65% and the prime is 3.25%, then the current variable interest rate will be 12.9%.
Penalty APRs
Many banks make you pay more in interest charges when you've had a late payment or if your account goes over the credit limit. These charges can more than double the interest you pay — and they can be charged indefinitely.
Our credit cards do not have penalty APRs.

- You authorize us to confirm the information you provide to us, retain your application, and open an account for you. You also authorize us to obtain and use consumer credit reports in connection with this application and in reviewing, modifying or collecting any credit extended to you. If you ask, we will tell you if we requested a credit report and give you the name and address of the credit reporting agency. If we no longer offer or you do not qualify for the card requested, you authorize us to consider you for another USAA credit card account.
Your application is subject to our approval in Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon approval, we will establish the APRs, fees and amount of your credit line and send you a Credit Card Agreement and your credit card(s). This offer is not transferable.
Credit Card Agreement: You will be deemed to sign the agreement when the first transaction is made on the account. If no transactions are made within ten days after your account is opened, then you will be deemed to sign the agreement unless you close the account. If you do not want to agree to the terms in the agreement, make sure no transactions are made and that you close the account within ten days from when it is opened. The Agreement is governed by the laws of Nevada and the United States and is subject to change. The Ohio Civil Rights Commission administers compliance with this law.
Wisconsin Residents: No provision of a marital property agreement, a unilateral statement under section 766.59, or a court decree under section 766.70 adversely affects the interest of the creditor unless the creditor, prior to the time the credit is granted, is furnished a copy of the agreement, statement or decree or has actual knowledge of the adverse provision when the obligation to the creditor is incurred.
Zero Liability Policy: You are not liable for unauthorized use that is reported to us. By providing the telephone numbers in your profile, you are giving USAA permission to contact you at these phone numbers about USAA products. You may edit phone numbers in your profile at any time by visiting usaa.com or by calling us.
Arbitration: The Credit Card Agreement has an arbitration clause which states that either you or we can require that certain disputes must be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in a court by a judge or a jury. The arbitration clause may substantially limit or affect your rights, including your right to go to court, to have a trial by jury to conduct discovery, to appeal, and to participate in a class action or any similar proceeding.

We cannot close your other account(s) with other issuers, even if you transfer the entire balance. Please contact the issuer of the account for information on how to close that account. Important: If you transfer an amount related to a transaction you dispute, you may lose your rights against the other creditor. Your dispute does not transfer to us.

By providing the telephone numbers in your profile, you are giving USAA permission to contact you at these phone numbers about USAA products. We cannot close your other account(s) with other issuers, even if you transfer the entire balance. Please contact the issuer of the account for information on how to close that account. Important: If you transfer an amount related to a transaction you dispute, you may lose your rights against the other creditor. Your dispute does not transfer to us.
- There is a transaction fee of 3% of the amount of each Balance Transfer and each Cash Advance (including Convenience Checks). There is no grace period for Cash Advances or Balance Transfers. At the end of the promotional period, all unpaid balances receiving the promotional APR will be moved from the promotional balance to your regular Cash Advance APR balance.
